We are now in Palas de REI
We are now in Palas de Rei, getting ready for an early leavetaking of 9:30 am. Our first day from Sarria to Portomarín (about 24 km) left us pretty exhausted….but it was a beautiful trail and a gorgeous day. It has cooled off considerably since our first start 2 weeks ago.
Today will be a short day of 15 km. So hopefully we’ll post more tonight.

On our first day back, we walked from Sarria to Portomarin. 8 hours and 14 miles!
(“the road is the goal” was in quotes – i’m guessing this is something people say a lot on the camino)

The trail in Galicia goes through the forest much of the time. Its much greener and cooler here.
